Every student who works with J23 gets a structured programme built around their specific needs and goals — not a generic package of weekly sessions. I oversee each case personally, with regular feedback, bespoke materials and direction, and sessions delivered by a team of exceptional tutors I've hand-picked and trust completely. The aim is always the same: meaningful progress, without your child's week being consumed in the process.

Good tuition starts long before the first session. I take time at the outset to understand what you want for your child — not just the grade, but the confidence, the habits, the longer-term picture — and to make sure your child is genuinely motivated to get there themselves. Students who understand why they're working towards something, and feel ownership over the process, tend to make far better progress than those who are simply showing up.

We work across two areas. For families pursuing selective school entry, we've helped students secure places at Eton, Harrow, Winchester, Westminster, Tonbridge, Wycombe Abbey, St Paul's, among many others across the UK boarding and day school landscape. For students navigating GCSE and A-Level, we provide focused support that complements their school — sharpening understanding, building confidence and raising attainment without duplicating what's already happening in the classroom.

I've spent seven years working in tuition — in London, Shanghai and Hong Kong — and I've seen how easily it becomes a habit rather than a plan: more sessions, more hours, more spend, with results that rarely justify the cost to a child's time and confidence.
